Greece is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited.
The people are friendly and helpful, the food delicious–especially their baklava and olives! There’s so much history here that it feels like you’re standing on top of an ancient ruin every time your foot touches the ground. Everything is marble. The streets, the sidewalks, and the buildings are marble. The beauty and history in these ruins grab your heart, pulling it out of sync with their grandeur while making you yearn for more time spent amongst them – even while you’re in their midst. Still, even though these places may be old enough for humans who can’t remember what life was like before them or how many generations had lived side by side through times dark then bright…they still feel sacred somehow.
